Archy and Mehitabel are littermates, born August 1988 and members of my family since they were about 10 weeks old.

In late 2001, at age 13, Archy was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, chronic renal failure, and hypertension.  His condition is being managed with medication and fluid therapy, and as of this writing, 12 months post-diagnosis, he's doing extremely well.  He's one of the sweetest-tempered, most easygoing cats I've ever had the privilege to know.

Mehitabel is our resident curmudgeon.  She's in terrific health for a cat her age; I maintain it's because she's too cranky to get sick.
